HKTI Inaugurates National Leadership 2025–2030:

Sudaryono Pledges “Prosperous Farmers” Under Prabowo’s Vision

CNEWS, Jakarta — The Indonesian Farmers Harmony Association (HKTI) officially inaugurated its National Executive Board (DPN) for the 2025–2030 term on Friday (Oct 3, 2025), in a plenary session led by HKTI Chairman Sudaryono and Secretary General Abdul Kadir Kading in Jakarta.

The inauguration marks a new chapter for HKTI, the nation’s largest farmers’ organization, as it enters a consolidation phase under new leadership.

“Today, the new HKTI leadership for 2025–2030 is formally inaugurated. Chairman Sudaryono—also serving as Vice Minister—delivered a strong message to the new board. With seven Vice Chairmen and a number of entrepreneurs and public figures joining the structure, HKTI is expected to rise to new heights under President Prabowo Subianto’s era,” said Solon Sihombing, senior journalist of HKTI, in an exclusive statement to CNEWS.

The central theme of this period, “Prosperous Farmers,” underscores the ambition to end poverty and hunger among farmers, ensuring agriculture becomes a pillar of national strength.

A Stronger and Broader Structure

According to the official decree, 700 board members were sworn in, representing regions, academics, agribusiness practitioners, entrepreneurs, and young leaders.

Sudaryono emphasized that despite its large structure, HKTI would not transform into a political party.

“HKTI is a family home for farmers, not a political vehicle. Our sole mission is to empower and uplift Indonesia’s farmers,” Sudaryono declared.

National and International Alliances

HKTI’s 2025–2030 agenda includes forging strategic partnerships with:

• Business organizations such as KADIN, IMI, and other corporate stakeholders.
• National and local governments.
• International farmer organizations, including the World Farmers’ Commission and global agribusiness institutions.

The presence of President Prabowo Subianto as Chairman of HKTI’s Advisory Board, alongside senior figures such as Moeldoko (former chairman) and Oesman Sapta Odang (Chairman of the Advisory Council), solidifies HKTI’s position as a central pillar in Indonesia’s agricultural policy.

Sudaryono’s Call: Unity for Farmers’ Welfare

In his keynote address, Sudaryono called for solidarity among the leadership and members.

 

“With gratitude, I declare the 2025–2030 HKTI leadership officially inaugurated. I urge all board members to serve with full responsibility and unity. Together, let us deliver prosperity to Indonesian farmers and contribute to national welfare,” he said.

 

He stressed that HKTI must take the lead in addressing fertilizer availability, modern farming tools, fair crop pricing, and protection of smallholder farmers.

Major Program: National Farmers’ Jamboree

The inauguration also set the stage for HKTI’s upcoming flagship event, the National Farmers’ Jamboree, which will feature President Prabowo Subianto as keynote speaker.

This historic gathering will be the largest farmer consolidation in Indonesia, designed to shape the country’s food security policy for the next five years.

“HKTI must stand as a real people’s force. The upcoming jamboree will demonstrate that farmers are the backbone of the nation, ready to safeguard Indonesia’s food sovereignty,” said one of HKTI’s young executives.

The new HKTI leadership carries profound implications:

1. Political Legitimacy in Food Policy: With President Prabowo at its helm, HKTI is set to become the government’s key partner in implementing food sovereignty, free nutritious meal programs, and fertilizer distribution.
2. National Protection: HKTI aims to resist the threat of cheap food imports undermining local farmers.
3. Safeguarding Small Farmers: Advocating for minimum crop prices, credit access, and modern technology.
